Metallica have revealed a new set of U.S. tour dates for their massive ‘M72’ world tour, with Pantera and Limp Bizkit joining as supporting acts. Announced on September 19, this new leg will extend the band’s record-breaking tour into a third year, adding 21 shows to the 2025 schedule. The tour supports their latest album, 72 Seasons, released last spring. Kicking off in April 2023, the tour has already attracted three million fans globally.
The newly announced dates will take place between April and June 2025, starting with a major appearance at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas on April 12. Headlining performances begin on April 19 at Syracuse’s JMA Wireless Dome, followed by two nights at Toronto’s Rogers Centre (April 24 and 26) and Nashville’s Nissan Stadium (May 1 and 3). Additional shows will be held in cities like Blacksburg, Columbus, Philadelphia, Landover, and Charlotte throughout May.
In June, the tour hits Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, followed by stops in Tampa, Houston, and Santa Clara, before concluding with two nights in Denver on June 27 and 29. The 2025 leg continues the ‘No Repeat Weekend’ tradition, featuring unique setlists and support lineups each night. Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies, and Ice Nine Kills will provide support. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 27 at 10 a.m. local time, with pre-sale options available starting Monday, September 23. Visit the official website for tickets and the full list of dates.

Metallica’s recent European tour received a four-star review from NME, which noted, “Metallica has always been a gateway band for heavy music, but there’s a renewed excitement around them now. Tonight’s surprising, ambitious, and exhilarating performance matches that energy at every turn.” The review highlighted how their iconic track “Master Of Puppets” resonated with the audience, alongside other favorites like “Nothing Else Matters” and “Seek & Destroy,” showcasing why Metallica remains the greatest metal band today.
Earlier, their album ‘72 Seasons’ was also awarded four stars, with NME calling it a “thrilling sonic onslaught.” The review pointed out that for younger fans discovering heavy rock—especially after hearing “Master of Puppets” featured in Netflix’s Stranger Things—this album serves as an excellent introduction. It emphasized that after decades in the industry, Metallica continues to deliver sharp, impactful metal.
In other news, the band recently honored a Canadian fan who passed away during their concert in Edmonton. Additionally, fans had the chance to bid for a charity dinner date with lead singer and guitarist James Hetfield. Although bidding has closed and the winning bid remains undisclosed, it was confirmed that the winner can bring up to three guests, though they must cover the entire cost for the evening.
