All 12 tracks from Kendrick Lamar’s ‘GNX’ make their debut on the Hot 100, claiming the entire Top 5 spots

Lefty Gunplay, Dody6, Wallie the Sensei, and several other rising artists have achieved their first-ever entries on the Billboard Hot 100 thanks to their featured appearances on Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated album, GNX. Released without any prior notice on November 22 via pgLang/Interscope/ICLG, GNX made an explosive debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart (dated December 7), earning an impressive 319,000 equivalent album units in its opening week, according to data from Luminate. This marks Lamar’s fifth No. 1 album, following the success of Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers (2022), DAMN. (2017), untitled unmastered. (2016), and To Pimp a Butterfly (2015).

The album’s success extends beyond its chart-topping debut. Every single track from GNX has entered the Billboard Hot 100, with all 12 songs landing within the top 30. Notably, seven of those tracks secured spots in the top 10, including the entire top five, cementing Lamar’s dominance on the chart. With this achievement, Lamar joins an elite group of artists—Taylor Swift, Drake, and The Beatles—who have managed to fill the entire top five in a single week. Notably, “Squabble Up” has earned Kendrick Lamar his fifth No. 1 hit on the Hot 100, following previous chart-toppers such as “Not Like Us” and “Like That” (both with Future and Metro Boomin earlier in 2024), “Humble.” (2017), and his collaboration with Taylor Swift on “Bad Blood” (2015). With this milestone, Lamar’s career Hot 100 count rises to 87 entries, including 57 top 40 hits, 22 top 10s, and 14 top-five songs.

The success of GNX has also marked a significant moment for the album’s featured artists, who have seen their first-ever Hot 100 placements thanks to their collaborations with Lamar. Additionally, Roddy Ricch makes his return to the Hot 100 for the first time in two years, with his featured appearance on “Dodger Blue.” Ricch, who has previously reached No. 1 with hits like “The Box” and “Rockstar” (with DaBaby) in 2020, continues to add to his legacy with this latest feature.
