Joe Jonas isn’t aiming to stir up any online drama with his upcoming album, Music for People Who Believe in Love. In a recent interview with Billboard, the singer clarified that he’s “not trying to come for anyone” with this second solo album, which arrives more than a decade after his debut, Fastlife in 2011.

Reflecting on the creation of the album, Jonas described the process as both “scary at times, and also freeing,” noting that he completed most of it within two-and-a-half weeks. He emphasized that he’s not looking to expose anyone or cause a stir with this project. “I have a beautiful life that I’m grateful for,” Jonas shared. “I’ve got two beautiful kids. I’m a happy person, and the music needed to reflect that — but also the journey to get here.”
